Gold Rebounds ₹700 To ₹1.49 Lakh Per 10 Grams In Delhi; Silver Holds Steady

New Delhi, September 30, 2026: Gold prices surged in the national capital, recovering from a two-month low by rising Rs 700 to Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams on Wednesday. Investors turned to the yellow metal in search of value amid a firm global trend. The 99.9 per cent pure metal closed two sessions earlier at Rs 1,48,600 per 10 grams, according to local traders.

Silver, however, remained flat for the second day in a row at Rs 2.32 lakh per kilogram, including all taxes. Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at brokerage platform Lemonn, noted that gold prices had recovered as traders engaged in value buying following recent losses. However, fluctuations in the US dollar restrained the upside, Garg added.

In global markets, spot gold traded slightly higher at USD 4,190 per ounce, while silver slipped 1.28 per cent to USD 60.68 per ounce. Vedika Narvekar, Research Analyst - Commodities & Currencies at Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Ltd., observed that gold had held around USD 4,195 an ounce and was poised to end September more than 5 per cent lower, highlighting a tug-of-war between supportive factors and persistent headwinds.

The easing of crude oil prices, following Saudi Arabia's increase in supplies via a key pipeline, also provided some respite from inflation concerns. China's Golden Week, starting from Thursday, typically boosts jewellery demand and could provide additional support.
