Godolphin, trainer Charlie Appleby both chasing more success at Woodbine Racetrack

Godolphin and its trainer, Charlie Appleby, are returning to Woodbine Racetrack on Saturday for more success. The pair won the Woodbine Mile for the second consecutive year with Notable Speech on September 12. Arabian Crown, trained by Appleby, will compete in the Grade 1 $750,000 Canadian International turf race at Woodbine along with seven other horses.

Godolphin and Appleby previously won the International in 2021 and 2023 with Walton Street and Nations Pride, respectively. Arabian Crown, a multiple graded stakes winner, will be competing in his first Grade 1 event. Tawny Port, second in last year's International by a nose to Silawi, will also return. The seven-year-old has finished in the money 18 times in 34 career starts and is trained by Miguel Clement for Peachtree Stable. The race field includes seven horses with their post positions, trainers, and jockeys.
