Flydubai Dubai-Tel Aviv passengers recall horror, post videos: ‘There was a hijacking, we have subdued the terrorists’

A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted to Saudi Arabia after a violent incident in the cockpit, according to videos filmed by passengers. One video shows a bloodied passenger speaking directly into the camera as the aircraft approaches Tabuk in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The passenger declares, "We're here during the hijacking of an airplane.

At this point we've subdued the terrorists, we're approaching landing. Whoever is hearing me, we need help." He later describes the plane as landing in "Tabuk, apparently an unfamiliar area" and again calls for assistance. Passengers can be seen dealing with the aftermath of the confrontation, including an injured pilot and another crew member restrained.

Initially, Israeli officials characterized the incident as a physical altercation between pilots rather than a hijacking. However, later assessments suggested it may have been an attempted "terror attack," with the co-pilot reportedly stabbing the captain before cabin crew regained control of the plane.
