El-Sisi: Constants of Egypt’s foreign policy include supporting, safeguarding security, stability of Arab Gulf states

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that safeguarding the security and stability of Arab Gulf states remains a constant in Egypt's foreign policy. Speaking at a government meeting, the president stressed the importance of upholding freedom of navigation in maritime corridors in line with international law. He further affirmed that the Egyptian state is making all necessary efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region and prevent any recurrence of fighting.

El-Sisi reiterated that Egypt's strategic choice is peace, and the Palestinian cause continues to be the central issue in the Middle East. He highlighted that failure to resolve the Palestinian issue is a source of instability in the region and that the two-state solution represents the pathway to achieving lasting peace and stability.

The UAE and Egyptian presidents discussed bilateral ties and regional developments during their meeting in Cairo, expressing their welcome for the Gaza ceasefire and emphasizing the importance of humanitarian aid and peace efforts.
