Burnham not ruling out going 'all the way' to rejoin EU

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has suggested he may consider rejoining the European Union, acknowledging Brexit has caused a decade of division and harm. In his first speech as Labour Party leader, Mr Burnham said he would explore all options and told the BBC he wanted to clarify Britain's future relationship with Brussels. He stated that the UK "could stay as we are" or "go all the way" as potential courses of action, but dismissed options like a customs union or single market membership as ruled out by the party.

Despite his manifesto ruling out those terms, Burnham has indicated he could recommend going further in future.
