Bidor petrol station shooting: Man hospitalised with bullet wound to shoulder

A 41-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder at a petrol station in Bidor Sentral, Malaysia, on Tuesday evening. The victim, driving his Toyota Land Cruiser, pulled into the petrol station at 6:08pm when two armed suspects in a black Honda City approached. The suspects fired several shots at the victim's vehicle before fleeing the scene, leaving five other people inside the Land Cruiser unharmed.

The victim sustained a stab wound to his shoulder and is currently in stable condition at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital. Police recovered a 9mm Luger bullet, four shell casings, and bullet fragments from the scene, which were also found on the victim's vehicle. Authorities are reviewing closed-circuit television footage from various locations around Bidor and identified toll plazas to aid in their investigation.

The case is being treated as attempted murder and firearms offenses under Sections 307 and 3(1) of the Penal Code and the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act, respectively, which carry severe penalties including lengthy prison sentences, substantial fines, and potential whipping.
