Beau Lamarre-Condon trial: crime scene photos paint harrowing picture of alleged murder victims’ final moments

Former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to the murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, who allegedly died in February 2024. The trial, held in early 2024, featured crime scene photos that painted a vivid picture of the alleged victims' final moments. Police found a bullet bent out of shape and a hole in a door, suggesting the gun had been fired directly into the door without any barrier.

Bloodied belongings of the victims were found in a skip bin at the Cronulla Bowls Club, including a white t-shirt, jewellery, a bed sheet, and bloodstained AFL goal umpire flags, caps, and shorts. A bloodied shoe print on a hoodie matched prints found near a monastery where the victims' bodies were discovered. Defense lawyer John Stratton SC claimed the shootings were in self-defense, but the prosecution alleges Lamarre-Condon panicked and cleaned up immediately after the murders. The trial is ongoing.
