At CWC meeting, Rahul Gandhi’s message to doubters: ‘Start believing in me’

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Tuesday witnessed several notable moments. Rahul Gandhi, the party's president, addressed his doubters, telling party leaders that some were not with him and urging them to "start believing" in him. During a recent meeting with Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Gandhi said he was asked if he had an issue with the BJP.

In response, he told the CWC that he was doing what was best for his party, to which Modi and Shah replied that the Congress would replace the BJP if it lost power. Gandhi then questioned his colleagues over their lack of confidence in the "vote chori" campaign and emphasized the need for the party to unite behind him. Mallikarjun Kharge, in a banter with Shashi Tharoor, advised a "Track-II approach" when dealing with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and suggested refraining from raising the issue legally.

Gandhi acknowledged the Congress's sustained efforts on issues such as vote theft and gaps in the education and examination systems. The party demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, and CEC Gyanesh Kumar. At the INDIA bloc meeting on Wednesday, the Congress may propose holding joint Opposition rallies in Delhi and state capitals over the EC issue.
