Malaysia was fortunate to be part of Pokemon's 30th anniversary celebrations. First, a Pokemon pop-up store emerged at Ombak KLCC, followed by the PokeXiting! event at KLCC Park. Now, Astro has introduced a dedicated Pokemon Pop-Up Channel that will remain until the end of December 2026. The channel, accessible on channel 121, is free for Astro, NJOI, and Sooka subscribers.
It will showcase over 600 episodes from Ash’s journey in the Indigo League, The Johto Journeys, The Series: XY, The Series: Sun & Moon, and Ultimate Journeys: The Series, covering about half of Ash’s story in chronological order. Eight new episodes will air each weekday. However, the episodes will only be available in English dub.
Subscribers can access the Malay dub for the 24th season, Pokemon Master Journeys: The Series, which airs every Thursday and Friday at 3PM. Meanwhile, permanent channels Mango TV and U Panda TV will continue to air 24/7 in Chinese, Malay, and English, featuring dramas, variety shows, reality programs, movies, and more.
