Accordo tra Tarros e Nurminen per nuovo corridoio intermodale Italia-Svezia

An agreement between Italian company Tarros and Finnish logistics firm Nurminen enables the launch of a new intermodal corridor between Sweden and Italy. The two companies signed a commercial and operational agreement to connect the Nordic and Mediterranean markets. This door-to-door service operates in both directions and has been immediately operational.

It includes rail, road, and maritime transport, terminal handling, customs clearance, and related documentation. The corridor integrates Nurminen's rail service from Örebro, Sweden, to Parma, Italy, with Tarros' maritime network through the Gulf Terminal (Tdg) in Spezia. Located 109 kilometers from the city of Spezia, Parma serves as a rail hub, where goods are transported by road to the Tdg, then proceed by sea.

Nurminen operates its own train service between Örebro and Parma, with two departures per week in each direction and a rail transit time of 2.5-3 days. The service accommodates shipments ranging from individual pallets to full trains. From Spezia, Tarros' maritime network connects the service to major markets in North Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Malta.

The Italian group and the Swiss company Carbox provide the necessary road, terminal handling, and maritime movement along the route, offering a low-emission alternative to long-distance road transport. The companies note that transit times depend on the origin and destination of the shipment, as well as the available maritime departures from Spezia.
