Abanga Yakubu targets over 80% votes in NPP National Youth Organiser race

NPP National Youth Organiser candidate Abanga Yakubu Fusani is confident he will secure over 80% of the vote in the upcoming internal election. Fusani attributes his optimism to the positive feedback he has received from the ground, indicating strong backing from delegates. Speaking to Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Fusani expressed confidence in his victory, stating that he believes he is winning the election based on his observations.

He emphasized that a significant endorsement from the youth would not only secure his position but also enhance his public image, showing that Ghanaians would also accept him. Fusani's campaign strategy is geared towards demonstrating the qualities of leadership and effective resource mobilization that he aims to bring to the role if elected.

He revealed that more than 40 businesspeople have shown willingness to support his initiatives to empower young people in the party if he wins the position. Fusani, a businessman with experience in the sector, highlighted how his knowledge of the business community can aid in mobilizing resources for his proposed programmes. However, he acknowledged that he cannot finance these initiatives alone and stressed the importance of showing commitment, sacrifice, and leadership to garner support.

Fusani also outlined a goal of mobilizing four million votes from young people for the party's presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the 2028 general elections. He acknowledged that while the party’s youth wing has developed strategies to achieve this goal, adequate funding would be essential to implement these plans.

Fusani stressed that his dedication to the party and willingness to make sacrifices are key factors that will help him secure the mandate and fulfill his promises to the youth.
