Yalantis Joins Nordic Semiconductor’s Design Partner network as demand for secure devices grows

European technology companies Yalantis and Nordic Semiconductor have formalized a collaboration, marking a growing trend in the hardware industry. Yalantis, an IoT and embedded engineering company based in Warsaw, has become an official Design Partner of Nordic Semiconductor, a Norwegian chipmaker that provides low-power wireless technology for various connected products.

This partnership formalizes years of collaboration between the two companies and comes at a time when there is a rising demand for secure, battery-efficient, and reliable connected devices.

Connected devices are no longer limited to niche markets, with hospitals relying on wireless patient monitors, factories utilizing sensor networks, and electric vehicle chargers, smart meters, and retail systems depending on power-efficient radios. Nordic Semiconductor's chips, which support Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Mesh, Wi-Fi, and cellular IoT standards like LTE-M and NB-IoT, are found in many of these products.

However, creating a finished product requires hardware and radio-frequency design, embedded software, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, and regulatory certification. Engineering partners help bridge this gap, making it easier for companies to move from concept to market quickly.

For Yalantis, this designation adds to their existing experience in designing and delivering connected products using Nordic's nRF52, nRF54, and nRF91 chip families across various industries. This includes medical devices, industrial systems, EV charging, and connected retail. By becoming an official Design Partner, Yalantis gains deeper access to Nordic's ecosystem, technical resources, and collaboration opportunities.

For companies developing connected products, this partnership offers benefits such as speed, risk reduction, and support for regulated products in medical, industrial, and automotive markets.

The move also highlights the increasing importance of security and compliance in the development of connected products. With the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act, manufacturers must address cybersecurity requirements from the start, with full obligations applying from December 2027. Yalantis positions itself as a compliance-first engineering partner, holding ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 certifications and running an in-house R&D lab in Warsaw covering the hardware lifecycle.

This partnership between Yalantis and Nordic Semiconductor aims to help companies bring complex connected products to market faster and with greater confidence.
