Viviano on Milan forward Ramos: ‘At Juventus he’d have 5 goals by now’

AC Milan forward Goncalo Ramos is being underutilized by the club, according to former goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano. Viviano believes that Ramos would already have five goals in his current form if he played for Juventus. Viviano's main concern is Milan's possession and control. The striker has scored just one Serie A goal since joining the club, and often drops deep to link play rather than focus on the box. Viviano argues that Milan should focus on improving their ball retention. "If you manage to hold the ball well and push the centre of gravity over there, Goncalo Ramos has less need to come and help you out here and works more in the area where, in my opinion, he's strong," Viviano stated.

While Viviano acknowledges the importance of Ramos' defensive work, he emphasizes that he expects a more dominant Milan side. "The truth is I expect a Milan, and it still hasn't done this, that’s dominant on the other side too. That passes the ball a bit more, whereas now it plays a lot on transition and vertically," he said.
