UAE President and President of Zambia discuss growth of bilateral ties

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia during his working visit to the UAE. The meeting highlighted the growth of bilateral ties between the two nations, focusing on economic, renewable energy, and infrastructure development. Both leaders expressed their commitment to strengthening the relations that have lasted over half a century, with an emphasis on advancing development partnerships to support economic diversification and shared prosperity.

A key point of discussion was the ongoing negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Zambia, which the leaders believed would significantly enhance economic relations and create a framework for expanding cooperation in both the public and private sectors. The meeting also welcomed the presence of senior UAE officials, including the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Speaker of the Federal National Council, underscoring the strong regional support for this important partnership.
