Tiada kerjasama PH-BN pada PRN Melaka, kata Khalid

Pengarah Komunikasi Amanah Khalid Samad stated that Pakatan Harapan (PH) would contest the upcoming Melaka PRN elections independently, adhering to the principles they have fought for. Currently, he noted, the coalition has already been cooperating with any party other than Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN). They refuse to accept any offer to join forces with BN, and if BN wishes to align with PN, that is their decision and their right.

For PH, they will contest the elections based on the principles they have championed, according to Berita Harian. This statement came the day after a group of PH and Bersatu Melaka leaders attended a closed dinner meeting at a hotel in Melaka. The attendees included Bersatu's Head of Communications Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, Election Commissioner Ali Mohamad, Perikatan's Sayut Leader R Sri Sanjeevan and Melaka Head of Communications Hishamuddin Karim.

They were also joined by PH's Melaka Amanah Commissioner Ashraf Mukhlis Minghat and PKR Melaka Deputy Leader Adam Adli. However, PH's Communications Officer Fahmi Fadzil contradicted reports of a closed dinner meeting, stating that such a collaboration had not yet begun any formal discussions with Bersatu on forming the team for Melaka PRN, reaffirming the PH's firm commitment to political cooperation resting in the PH Presidential Council.
