‘The worst hate speech comes from NDC; enough of lip service, optics politics’ – Afenyo-Markin to Mahama

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has lambasted the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its frequent utilization of hate speech and divisive rhetoric, urging President John Mahama to intervene and curb the party's members. In an appearance on Adom TV’s Badwam, he emphasized the necessity for the government to move beyond empty promises, superficial image-building, and hollow rhetoric, and to take decisive action against inflammatory commentary.

"The most vicious form of hate speech originates from the NDC," he stated. "President Mahama must understand that enough is enough of lip service, optics politics, and rhetoric politics."

The Minority Leader accused the NDC of having a paid individual based in the United States, whom the party allegedly utilizes to disseminate information and shape political narratives. "The NDC has enlisted someone in America that they pay," he alleged. "I can inform them about the channel, how they allocate funds to him, how they share information, who to target in a given week."

Afenyo-Markin further pointed out that political parties often have access to information they choose not to disclose, particularly when they are in the opposition. "We are in opposition, and there are certain matters we are aware of," he remarked. "It's not always necessary to make everything public."
