The Honor Life S3 is another tiny ereader that attaches to your phone

The Honor Life S3 is a new, compact e-reader device that attaches to a phone via a magnet. Despite the novelty of tiny e-readers, this is not the first of its kind; other brands such as Xteink and Boox have introduced similar products. The Honor Life S3, unveiled alongside the Honor Magic 9 phones, features a 3.68-inch e-paper screen with 259 pixels per inch, weighs just 61g, and measures 5.6mm in thickness.

Unlike many competitors, it boasts a touchscreen interface with no physical page buttons, offering a soft-light eye-protection feature for prolonged reading sessions. It utilizes a microSD card for storage and supports various eBook and document formats, while a built-in battery promises 30 hours of continuous usage or up to a week with regular use.

Powered by a custom operating system, the device can wirelessly transfer books via the Honor Smart Space app. While similar to Xteink's X4 Pro and X3 models, the Honor Life S3 falls in between in terms of screen size and weight, being slightly thicker and heavier than the Xteink X3. The Honor Life S3's potential advantage is its association with the more recognizable Honor brand, though its availability is currently limited to China.
