Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager finished the season with a bone spur in his elbow

Arlington, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager finished the 2023 season with a bone spur in his elbow, according to team president of baseball operations Chris Young. Young stated that Seager had been dealing with the issue for a couple of months and that the Rangers are still considering the best course of action, with surgery being a possibility.

If surgery is required, Young said it would be minor and Seager should make a full recovery. DeGrom, a 38-year-old Cy Young Award winner, dealt with groin tightness and left hip soreness but finished the season with a career-worst 4.20 ERA. Seager, who is halfway through his 10-year, $325 million deal, hit a career-low .227 while playing in 102 games, missing 54 games due to injuries.
