Teen killed in western Vic crash remembered as 'bubbly' and 'bright'

Tenesha Fieldsend, a 14-year-old teenager from Sale, has been remembered as a bubbly, bright, and energetic young girl who loved everyone. She died in a three-vehicle collision on the Western Highway in Victoria's west on Sunday night. Fieldsend was returning from a volleyball tournament with her family when the car she was in collided with a truck and another vehicle.

Fieldsend's teammates, coach Blake Hunter, spoke highly of her, describing her as the heart of the team, always happy and excited, even when they lost points. Her brother, a 17-year-old driver, was doing well despite the tragedy, while her 11-year-old sister remained in critical care. Hunter emphasized the need for the young community members to receive mental health support following the incident.

The volleyball community, including Volleyball Latrobe Valley, Volleyball Horsham, and the Gippsland Sports Academy, expressed their deep sorrow and grief over Fieldsend's untimely death. They emphasized that she will be fondly remembered and missed by all those who knew her. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help support Fieldsend's family during this difficult time. The police have stated that they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
