The designers at Ghibli specialty shop Donguri Kyowakoku have successfully addressed this conundrum by placing a replica of the fire spirit atop a candle - making it a candle-shaped figurine, albeit with plastic instead of wax. To add to its allure, the Calcifer Candle Light actually illuminates when turned on, offering a simulated magic effect.

Turning the light on and off is as simple as shaking the candle, thanks to a master power switch discreetly placed at its base, rendering it out of sight when the candle is positioned in its holder. The light changes hues, with shifting tinges of red and blue, reflecting the ever-shifting colors of flames.
