Snake Enters MY Hospital’s New OPD In Indore, Video Goes Viral As Staff Struggle To Drive It Out

On Tuesday morning, a snake caused a commotion at the newly opened OPD section of Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital in Indore. The reptile was first spotted near a window around 8 am, prompting alarm among hospital staff. Concern quickly turned to panic as the snake continued to move around the OPD area, necessitating a swift response from hospital staff and security guards.

Upon noticing the snake, employees immediately alerted the security guards. Together, they attempted to drive the snake out of the building. However, the reptile proved elusive, moving persistently near the door and floor for some time. A video capturing the ordeal was recorded and soon went viral on social media, showing hospital staff and security personnel maintaining a safe distance while trying to remove the snake.

After concerted efforts by the security team, which included female guards and other personnel, the snake was eventually guided out of the building and directed towards the bushes outside. The incident occurred during OPD opening hours, when patient movement typically begins. Fortunately, no injuries or untoward incidents were reported during the episode.

Hospital authorities are expected to review the situation and implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future, particularly during the monsoon season when snakes and other reptiles are known to enter buildings near green areas.
