Skoda Auto to hike prices by up to 1.2% from Oct

Skoda Auto India will raise vehicle prices by up to 1.2% from October 1, 2026 due to escalating input and operational expenses, according to the company. The price increase will be implemented at the ex-showroom level for all models and variants in India, with a maximum hike of ₹20,000. This move follows a broader industry trend as automakers adjust prices in response to rising costs while aiming to maintain demand in the passenger vehicle market.

Skoda's announcement adds to this trend as the company introduced new products and model updates in 2026, including the Kushaq, Slavia, and various Kodiaq and Octavia variants. In 2025, Skoda achieved its highest-ever sales with 72,655 units sold and continued strong performance in the first half of 2026, posting its highest first-half sales and selling over 50,000 units by August.

The company's locally manufactured cars have reached 250,000 units sold during its growth phase, with the Kylaq alone surpassing 75,000 units. Skoda has also expanded its retail network to over 345 locations across 193 cities. The company aims to provide customers with value, safety, and European engineering while continuing to grow its product lineup and ownership experience in India.
