Sindh Governor Now Travels By Train

Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi has opted to travel by train due to the high cost of petrol. During an event at Governor House, he stated that the rising fuel prices affect not just common citizens but also alter his own mode of transportation. Hashmi pointed out that all vehicles departing from Governor House rely on petrol and cannot operate without it.

He further mentioned that budget cuts as part of the government's austerity measures have resulted in several expenses being cut or done away with. The governor clarified that the austerity campaign has impacted the budget of Governor House, with officials becoming more vigilant about expenditures. He stressed the significance of long-term planning for national development, drawing a comparison with countries that have achieved substantial progression by planning for 40 to 50 years ahead.

Hashmi cited China as an example, stating that its development has also been fueled by extensive planning. He referred to trainee officers as the future of the country and highlighted that policing is not solely about enforcing laws. He explained that police officers also play a crucial role in tackling social issues and cultivating public trust.
