Siemens, in partnership with German embassy hosts inaugural German Tech Talks

German Tech Talks, an inaugural event hosted by Siemens in collaboration with the German embassy in Qatar, took place on Tuesday at the Le Royal Méridien Place Vendôme Lusail. This marks a new chapter in the 55-year partnership between Germany and Qatar, focusing on fostering knowledge exchange and technological leadership. The event, themed "Industrial AI and the Technologies Shaping the Future," brought together industry experts, policymakers, and business leaders from Qatar's government, private sector, and academia.

Oliver Owcza, the German ambassador, opened the talks, emphasizing the potential for a strong partnership between the two nations in technological leadership. Hakan Özdemir, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure in the Middle East and Siemens Qatar, welcomed attendees and highlighted Siemens' role as a pioneering German engineering and technology company in Qatar.

The event's executive panel, "From Infrastructure to Intelligence: How Industrial AI is Reshaping Qatar," featured speakers Mohamed Ali al-Ghaithani, CEO of Meeza, and Adel Ali al-Malki, Senior Executive Vice President of Group Retail Banking at QNB Group. This panel discussed the transformative impact of industrial AI on Qatar's infrastructure, with a focus on making it intelligent, sustainable, and resilient.

Ozdemir stated, "As a pioneering German engineering and technology company in Qatar, Siemens is proud to host the inaugural session of the German Tech Talks in Qatar, in partnership with the German embassy." He further explained that industrial AI is crucial for Qatar's National Vision 2030, serving as the intelligence layer in the infrastructure powering the national economy.

Siemens showcased how this technology translates engineering, digitalization, cybersecurity, and data into measurable outcomes, making infrastructure smarter and more resilient.
