The fitness race HYROX has attracted diverse participants in India, driven by varying motivations. For Mamta Ranka, a 62-year-old retired school teacher from Mumbai, it serves as a way to explore possibilities after retiring at 60. Rohan Koralhalli, a 30-year-old Bengaluru resident, credits HYROX for helping him transition from 160 kg to around 115 kg, attributing the shift to a broader lifestyle change.

Even Anjee Bhatia, a 36-year-old Goa-based individual with limited prior athletic experience, joined the race to step out of her comfort zone and enhance her fitness. Despite age differences, all participants find common ground in HYROX's hybrid approach of endurance and functional training, with the challenge of fatigue adding to the appeal.
