Russian attacks kill 1, injure 56 across Ukraine over past day, as yet another overnight attack pounds Kyiv

Over the course of a single day, Russian attacks in Ukraine resulted in at least one death and 56 injuries, according to local authorities. The attacks on Sept. 29 included an overnight assault on Kyiv, where a missile and drone barrage targeted an educational facility and damaged multiple apartment buildings, causing one injury, reported the State Emergency Service.

In Donetsk Oblast, one person was killed and six others injured by Russian strikes. In Kharkiv Oblast, two men aged 28 and 44 sustained injuries from Russian attacks. In Zaporizhzhia, 34 people were wounded in attacks, with 33 of those injuries occurring on Sept. 28 at an industrial site. Kherson Oblast saw two injuries from Russian strikes, while Odesa experienced a Sept.

28 attack on a high-rise building that left six people injured, two of whom were hospitalized. In Sumy Oblast, five individuals, including three men aged 23, 46, and 52 and two women aged 37 and 49, were wounded by Russian drone attacks over the past day.
