Rayon raises €10M Series A to expand AI-powered interior design platform

Rayon, a browser-based interior design software, has secured €10 million in Series A funding to bolster its platform and broaden its marketing efforts. The investment round was spearheaded by Partech, with additional support from Northzone, Foundamental, and Seedcamp. This brings Rayon's total funding to nearly €16 million.

The platform is tailored for interior and experiential projects, offering an alternative to CAD software originally designed for architecture and engineering. Users can import PDFs, images, and DWG plans, create bespoke libraries of components, and work on projects from feasibility to execution within the browser. The software integrates drawings and project data, ensuring plans, styling, specifications, and schedules remain interconnected.

Modifications to drawings automatically update specifications, while multiple team members can collaborate on the same project simultaneously via a shared link.

Rayon's co-founder and CEO, Bastien Dolla, explained that the company's unique selling point lies in its ability to make professional-grade CAD software user-friendly. The company is now integrating AI and 3D capabilities into its platform. Its AI-driven features include a floor plan vectorizer that transforms scanned or photographed plans into editable drawings, complete with elements like walls, openings, and zones. Additionally, a tool generates blocks from photographs.

With the new funding, Rayon aims to introduce 3D capabilities, enhance its AI integration within the design experience, and expand its go-to-market operations. The company's upcoming V4 release, anticipated before the year's end, will feature a broader range of AI functionalities alongside 3D capabilities.
