‘Pooja Bhatt more talented, intelligent than Alia Bhatt,’ says brother Rahul, met Ranbir ‘5-7 times’

Rahul Bhatt, son of renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, recently discussed his relationships with his father and sister Pooja Bhatt in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. Rahul expressed that he has never had any complaints about his stepmother, Soni Razdan, and praised her for being a supportive and generous figure in his life. Soni has always included Rahul in family events, taken him on holidays, and gifted him expensive presents, such as a Balenciaga bag worth Rs 3.5 lakh. Rahul also mentioned that Soni regularly invites him to family functions.

Regarding a controversial statement made by Mahesh Bhatt, where he said he would have married Pooja Bhatt if she were not his daughter, Rahul stated that he disapproved of the magazine cover featuring Mahesh and Pooja kissing. He attributed the controversy surrounding the photograph to the duplicity prevalent in the film industry and emphasized the importance of discretion in such matters.

One of the most notable controversies in Pooja Bhatt's career involved her body-paint magazine photoshoot, which generated significant backlash in the 1990s. Rahul defended his sister against those who criticized or attacked her, stating that he personally confronted protesters at the time. He defended the photograph, describing it as classy and not vulgar, and emphasized that Pooja never engaged in vulgar behavior.

Pooja later clarified that she was not actually nude in the photograph and that the intention behind the shoot was never to shock people.
