Pixel 11a looks mostly unchanged in first leak, reportedly brings purple color back [Gallery]

Google's upcoming Pixel 11a has made its first appearance in leaked images, showing that the design of the mid-range device remains largely unchanged from its predecessors. The CAD-based renders, shared by @OnLeaks and Android Headlines, depict a familiar camera bar-less form factor, similar to the designs seen in the Pixel 10a and Pixel 9a.

The dimensions of the Pixel 11a are consistent with those of the Pixel 10a, measuring 153.46 x 72.35 x 9mm, with only a slight variation from the Pixel 10a's measurements of 153.9 x 73 x 9mm.

The leak also reveals the potential color options for the Pixel 11a, with the device expected to be available in black, silver, green, and - notably, purple. This inclusion of a purple colorway is particularly significant, as Google's previous attempts at purple hues have been less successful. The 2019 Pixel 3a featured a very light shade of purple, while the Pixel 9a's "Iris" color had a periwinkle-like appearance.

The leaked renders suggest a deeper, more pronounced purple, but it remains uncertain whether this is based on actual leaked information or merely speculation.

One significant change anticipated for the Pixel 11a is the switch to Google's Tensor G6 chipset, replacing the Tensor G5 found in the mid-range Pixel 10a. This move signals an upgrade in processing power and performance for Google's entry-level smartphones.
