Phidarian Mathis is back from his suspension, who will the Bills let go to make room on the roster?

The Buffalo Bills are facing a roster decision with the return of veteran defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis from his three-game suspension. To accommodate Mathis on the team, they have a 48-hour window to make a corresponding move. In June, the writer praised Mathis' two-gapping skill and his effectiveness at Alabama under Nick Saban.

With Jim Leonhard now coaching the defense, the writer believes Leonhard is excited to have Mathis back. While DeWayne Carter was initially considered for the defensive tackle position, he has been performing well and will likely stay on the team. The writer does not believe Mike Danna will be waived, as he stepped in last minute after Ed Oliver's injury.

Rookie guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, who has been inactive this season due to an elbow injury, is the writer's best guess for the player to be released to make room for Mathis.
