Setiausaha politik Hamzah Zainudin's former aide, Sayed Amir Muzzakkir Al Sayed Mohamad, faced three charges of corruption linked to tendering services for police equipment and uniforms. His defense attorney, Yaacob Sam, challenged a key witness's claim that the term "commission" was used 35 times in their statement, whereas the contract only referenced "consultant."

Wan Azhar Yusof, the main witness, claimed that the project contract was arranged to pay commissions of 5% from the project value to Sayed and business partner Khairi Mat Jahya for helping NXG secure the police equipment tender contract. However, during cross-examination, Wan Azhar did not agree that he changed the term used in the contract during his testimony.

Yaacob suggested that Wan Azhar should replace the term with "commission" to differentiate it from "consultant." Wan Azhar disagreed with Yaacob's suggestion and did not agree that he intentionally changed "consultant" to "commission" to harass Sayed under Section 3 of Malaysia's Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009. The defense also questioned Wan Azhar's explanations after the prosecution presented 193 additional questions during the main examination.

Yaacob then questioned why all these explanations were not presented when preparing his testimony. Wan Azhar claimed he didn't know why these explanations were not included. Yaacob asked if Wan Azhar agreed that if these explanations were important, they should have been part of his testimony. Wan Azhar did not agree or disagree with Yaacob's statement.

Sayed was charged on May 23, 2024, with two corruption charges totaling RM350,000 from Wan Azhar to help NXG secure the RMPNet police equipment tender contract worth RM381,112,042.44. The charges were alleged to have occurred at the Tanah Aku Foundation office in Solaris Dutamas on December 4, 2020, and at NXG's office in Seksyen 7, Shah Alam, Selangor, on December 3.30.
