Pastor Daniel Amoateng pays for release of 23 Nsawam prison inmates

Pastor Daniel Amoateng, the Head Pastor and Founder of Power of Worship International, has secured the release of 23 inmates from Nsawam Prison. The release was made possible by the collective effort of his church members, known as POWI Nation, who paid the outstanding legal fines of the inmates. Pastor Amoateng emphasized that this act is a manifestation of God’s love for humanity and highlighted his church's commitment to extending the Creator’s love to the underprivileged.

This is the third time POWI Nation has extended such benevolence to inmates, with two similar initiatives undertaken last year. The church has made it a tradition to provide assistance to people in need from time to time. The released inmates, who had spent between two and ten years in prison, were urged to avoid the behaviors that led to their incarceration and to develop good habits to lead productive lives within their communities.

Pastor Amoateng also announced that his church would offer skills training, support to establish trades, and employment opportunities for the released individuals. This is another one of the numerous gestures Pastor Amoateng and POWI Nation have undertaken to support humanity. In October 2023, they donated relief items, such as water, mattresses, food, clothing, diapers, and sanitary supplies, to families affected by floods in the Volta Region.

The church regularly announces emergency support initiatives during periods of heavy seasonal flooding and rainfall.
