NPC convenes periodic ‘Planning, Quality and Innovation Forum’

In Doha, Qatar, the National Planning Council (NPC) recently organized a Planning, Quality, and Innovation Forum in collaboration with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. The event brought together directors responsible for planning, quality, and innovation from various government entities.

Opening the forum, H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the NPC, emphasized the crucial role of these departments in formulating and executing projects that align with national priorities. He reaffirmed the NPC's and the aforementioned bureaus' commitment to supporting institutions to stay aligned with the State's strategic directions.

The forum showcased presentations on the Third National Development Strategy's priorities and their impact on government entities. It also introduced the updated Strategy Implementation Governance Guide and its role in facilitating alignment with the Strategy's developments, as well as the 'Q-Execute' System's contribution. The participants discussed the significance of regularly updating national data to inform evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning.

The forum also examined the national statistical system's digital transformation journey, focusing on advanced technologies that enhance data collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination. Furthermore, it explored how these technologies can strengthen data integration and provide timely access to data for a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
