Missing woman found murdered, two daughters recovered in Rawalpindi

A mother and her two daughters went missing earlier this month in Rawalpindi. The mother's body was discovered buried in a ditch, while the two young daughters were recovered alive by the police. The City Police Officer (CPO) assembled special police teams, conducting raids to apprehend the other accomplices of the main suspect.

After the arrest of the primary accused, the case was upgraded from kidnapping to murder, with the victim identified as 28-year-old, allegedly shot dead by her husband's brother. The officer explained that the victim had locked herself and her daughters in a room the night before realizing she would be killed. Upon unlocking the door the following morning, she was allegedly shot by her brother-in-law, who then wrapped her body in a plastic bag with help from his brothers, and drove it to Chontra to bury it.

The motive behind the murder was the desire for the property transferred to her name by her husband, who was also wanted by the police. The brother of the deceased woman shared that his sister, missing since September 17, 2026, was found after her brother-in-law, Wasim, was apprehended. She had left a statement for the SP Saddar, detailing that her mother was murdered by her uncle and his brothers, and that she had met her father, who remains at large. The mother plans to take her sister's body to his hometown of Kahuta following the postmortem.
