Miart si rinnova e rafforza il suo ruolo internazionale

MiArt, the international contemporary and modern art fair organized by Fiera Milano, is undergoing a rebranding and strengthening of its international role. The fair adopts a new name, MiArt Milano, and a new artistic director, Cloe Piccoli. Despite maintaining continuity with its 30 previous editions, MiArt Milano aims to position itself as a platform that connects art and market, generating economic, cultural, and relational value for the territory and exhibitors.

The new director emphasizes that the fair does not merely take place during its four days but works throughout the year, projecting itself triennially until 2029. MiArt Milano will become an active platform throughout the year, collaborating with artists, galleries, public and private institutions, foundations, collectors, and businesses. Francesco Conci, the AD of Fiera Milano, highlights that the fair represents a piece of the group's identity, rooted in strong ties with the territory.

Giovanni Bozzetti, president of Fondazione Fiera Milano, underscores the importance of art and culture for Italy's economy and development: "Art and culture are the roots of 'made in Italy.' Without them, we would not have the ability to design and create appreciated products sold worldwide, and thus not our fairs either, which are a showcase for 'made in Italy.'"

Fondazione supports this initiative through a new €50,000 award for mid-career Italian artists and the €100,000 annually donated to MiArt's acquisition fund, which has built a collection of over 170 works since 2012.

The rebranded fair will be accompanied by the Milano Art Week, held from April 5-11, 2027, showcasing the Milanese art scene's exceptional vitality, with 243 exhibitions, 183 inaugurations, and numerous events. This calendar further solidifies the strong bond between MiArt Milano and the city of Milan.
