Man nabbed over stabbing of 2 siblings in Kepong

Police in Kepong apprehended a foreign man suspected of stabbing two siblings after unlawfully entering their residence early this morning. Sentul police chief Anuar Bakri Salam disclosed that the motive may have been jealousy, as one of the sisters had reached out to the suspect's former partner. The incident was reported to the police at approximately 5:04 am, following a call regarding a man breaking into a home in Taman Sri Bintang.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered charred remnants outside the house and the injured siblings, aged 18 and 21, hiding in a downstairs toilet. The suspect, armed with a knife, was apprehended upon entering the premises on the upper floor. Police seized the knife and arrested the individual. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect harbored jealousy due to the sister's communication with a previous boyfriend.

Both victims and the suspect sustained stab wounds and were subsequently transported to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for medical attention. The case is currently under investigation for grievous bodily harm using a dangerous weapon and the act of arson.
