Makinde: I’ll Reset Nigeria, Provide New Security Architecture in Four Years

Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement, Seyi Makinde, announced in Lafia, Nasarawa State, that Nigeria can be transformed within four years if he is elected president in 2027. The APM leader outlined his vision for a new security architecture, improved education, a revitalized economy using data science, and a socio-political environment conducive to sustainable development.

Makinde's promises came as he thanked the people of Nasarawa for hosting his team and addressed a diverse audience including women in agriculture, market women, physically challenged women, and widows. He criticized "voodoo economics" at the federal level and pointed out the lack of budgetary provisions for the newly announced army divisions, despite increased funds in the 2026 budget.

The APM chairman also highlighted the need for energy in governance and questioned whether the increased allocation to states has helped alleviate hunger. The National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Dantalle, emphasized the party's rebirth and growing acceptance ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that voters should choose truth and competence over token handouts.
