Luxembourg-based ANote Music, a platform that allows users to buy, sell, and earn music royalties, announced the closing of a €2 million funding round led by Seventure Partners and ScaleFund. The additional capital will be used to expand ANote's catalogue offerings, increase the number of European traders, and continue developing its platform and app.
Marzio F. Schena, CEO and co-founder of ANote Music, stated, "Music royalties have been one of the most resilient income streams in finance, and one of the hardest for ordinary investors to reach. We built ANote to close that gap: fair, transparent valuations for the rights holders who sell, and recurring royalty income for the people who buy.
Seventure and ScaleFund let us do that for a far larger market." Founded in 2018, ANote Music aims to bridge the gap between music and finance by enabling the tradable asset of music royalties. The company's platform provides a marketplace for buying, selling, and earning royalties from top-performing catalogues, including songs by artists such as The Kinks, Beyoncé, Drake, and Justin Bieber.
ANote Music currently lists over 100,000 songs across 36 catalogues, has 52,000 user accounts, and has achieved a cumulative transaction value of more than €28 million.
