Lego Reveals First Dragon Ball Set with Shenron and Kid Goku

Just days after speculating about the first-ever Dragon Ball LEGO set, the company has officially revealed the details. The set, named LEGO Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku, consists of 1,764 pieces and showcases the dragon Shenron emerging from the seven Dragon Balls. It is accompanied by a minifigure of Kid Goku soaring on Kintoun, the flying cloud.

Priced at $179.99, it will be available for purchase starting November 1 for LEGO Insiders and November 4 for the general public. To acquire access to LEGO Insiders, users can create a complimentary account at the official LEGO website. LEGO Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku is a collaboration between LEGO and Toei Animation, the entity responsible for the animated series, crafted by Akira Toriyama.

Designed for display rather than play, the set targets individuals aged 18 and above. It incorporates a black base featuring the Dragon Ball logo, enabling easy placement on shelves or desks. The seven orange Dragon Balls are strategically placed on small translucent pedestals beneath the set. Frames featuring lightning bolts flank the left and right sides, while Shenron ascends from the center, commanding attention.

The minifigure of Kid Goku, measuring relatively small, performs acrobatic maneuvers around a cloud attached to an adjustable LEGO arm. The overall appearance is dramatic, accurately depicting the scene portrayed. In Dragon Ball mythology, collecting all seven Dragon Balls enables the summoning of the immortal dragon, who grants one's wish.
