Washington, US President Donald Trump has decided to entrust the oversight of artificial intelligence technology to the companies themselves, despite warnings of existential risks, following a meeting with heads of AI firms in Washington. This aligns with a concept Amodei proposed several weeks ago, supported by his competitor Sam Altman at OpenAI.

Amodei said after the meeting with Trump, "AI has huge potential - but also very real risks." Measures to mitigate these risks are still under discussion.
