Keenum stars for Bears on first start since 2023

Veteran quarterback Case Keenum returned to action for the Chicago Bears after a three-year absence, leading his team to a 27-7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field. The 38-year-old veteran completed 247 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while also contributing a rushing touchdown to his impressive performance. Keenum's return came due to injuries to Caleb Williams and concussion to Tyson Bagent.

Wide receiver Kalif Raymond praised Keenum's confidence, stating that the veteran quarterback was experienced and ready for the task at hand. Keenum's first drive culminated in a touchdown for Luther Burden III, and Cairo Santos contributed with a 29-yard field goal before halftime, extending the Bears' lead to 10-7. Santos added another field goal early in the third quarter, and the Bears continued their dominance with two more touchdowns, scoring 17 unanswered points to secure their first win in nearly three years.

The Bears' defense showcased their resilience by limiting the Eagles to 248 yards and intercepting Jalen Hurts, who was replaced by Andy Dalton in the game.
