Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in Zach Cregger's upcoming sci-fi thriller, "The Flood," according to fresh reports. The action-packed movie is scheduled to release under Warner Bros. on August 11, 2028. New Line Cinema and Amblin Entertainment are producing the film, with Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment also involved.

2025's successful "Weapons" by Cregger, which grossed $270 million globally, is a hint of what audiences can expect from Lawrence's role.
