Inside Pandit Jasraj’s home: From a ‘Wall of Honour’, zardozi peacock wall, to a 65-year-old tanpura

Pandit Jasraj's home offers a glimpse into his personality and legacy, combining traditional Indian aesthetics with luxury. The residence, now preserved by his family, showcases a warm, elegant color palette of beige, cream, and gold, with statement pieces adding color and character. The living room features plush cream sofas, velvet accent cushions, and intricate zardosi work on a wall adorned with peacock motifs and delicate floral branches.

The dining area complements the living room with a dark wooden table and high-backed chairs in yellow floral fabric, and a brass lamp. A 'Wall of Honour' displays framed Padma awards, honoring Pandit Jasraj's achievements, alongside an oil painting by M R Achrekar. A prayer room contains a carved silver mandir, idols, and a 65-year-old tanpura, an important instrument in Indian classical music.
