President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed rumors about his health, stating that he is fit and prepared to resume his duties following his return from an extended working vacation in Europe. The President made the clarification on Tuesday upon his arrival in Lagos from Paris, where he spent the latter part of his trip. When questioned by journalists about the health concerns raised in some quarters, Tinubu firmly denied any issues, asserting that he is "ready to kick, ready to walk.

Tinubu's departure from Nigeria occurred on August 30, embarking on a three-week working vacation that took him from London to Paris. The Presidency later extended his stay abroad, noting that he remained in touch with events in Nigeria and continued to fulfill his responsibilities while away.

His return to Lagos came after weeks of public debate over his prolonged absence, which also sparked political discussions. The duration of the President's stay in Europe became a point of contention, with opposition groups, including the African Action Congress, filing legal action against Tinubu and the National Assembly for not informing the legislature before his departure.

Tinubu is now set to resume his official activities in Nigeria, with upcoming events including preparations for the October 1 Independence anniversary.
