IIMB alumni community raises ₹20.11 lakh for injured student

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA) rallied together to raise ₹20.11 lakh for a student who was gravely injured in a road accident. The fundraising campaign was initiated on September 25, 2026, with an initial goal of ₹18 lakh. However, the response from alumni far surpassed expectations, with a total of ₹20.11 lakh collected from 267 contributors.

IIMBAA stated that the overwhelming support showcased the strength of the IIMB community during a critical time for one of its members. Alumni spanning various generations contributed to this cause, highlighting the spirit of unity within the IIMBAA. Harish Mittal, president of IIMBAA, expressed pride in the community's ability to come together and support one of its own. The injured student, currently admitted to Fortis Hospital, is in serious condition.
