Ibague Celebrates 25 Years of the Ibague Ciudad Rock International Festival

Ibague is gearing up to mark the 25th anniversary of the Ibague Ciudad Rock International Festival, one of the most enduring events promoting alternative music in the Tolima department. This year's celebration, scheduled for October 23 to 25, 2026, will be hosted at the Patio de Banderas of the Unidad Deportiva, featuring a diverse lineup of international, national, and regional bands, alongside new attractions centered on electronic music and geek culture.

For this special edition, the festival organizers have divided the program into three themed zones: rock and metal, electronic music, and activities related to video games, anime, cosplay, and other forms of alternative culture. Nearly 500 artists, including Los Pericos, a renowned Argentine reggae and Latin American rock group, and Raven, a British heavy metal band, are confirmed to participate.

Colombian acts like Kraken, Doctor Krapula, and the Tolima Symphonic Band will also take the stage, alongside emerging artists selected through open calls. These include Atrapamoskas Club, Altermonster, and Akash, among others. The lineup reflects a wide range of musical styles and generations, ensuring a rich and varied experience for festival-goers.

In addition to the main stages, the festival will introduce a dedicated space for geek culture, Ibague Ciudad Geek, featuring activities related to video games, cosplay, anime, and K-pop. This addition aims to broaden the festival's appeal and engage audiences who connect with these alternative forms of expression.
