Krystal Pulaski, a 24-year-old physical therapy assistant from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, pursued a career in physical therapy after a series of injuries led her to rely on physical therapy herself. Having earned a BS in kinesiology and an Associate of Applied Science degree, Pulaski began applying for physical therapy assistant positions in Texas after passing the National Physical Therapy Examination in April 2025.

Multiple job offers followed shortly after, including one from a skilled nursing facility and another from an outpatient facility. Pulaski chose the former, accepting the higher pay and prioritize work-life balance. Being open about her upcoming knee surgery during interviews proved beneficial, as it allowed her to secure multiple job offers from employers willing to accommodate her schedule.

Pulaski appreciated the flexible hours of her chosen job and the opportunity to learn from a diverse range of patients. She finds the field of physical therapy both challenging and rewarding, as each patient presents unique challenges that keep her growing professionally.
