How to get the Griffin armor in The Witcher 3

To obtain the Griffin armor in The Witcher 3, you must first acquire the diagrams and then craft it at specific locations. The armor set is medium witcher gear, focusing on enhancing the power of your signs and increasing protection. It consists of four pieces, two swords, but does not include a crossbow.

The diagrams for the basic Griffin armor are found in Dragonslayer's Grotto in east Velen, a ruined location northwest of Downwarren. Upon entering the grotto, you'll face wraiths, endrega, an ekimmara, and a wyvern. After killing the vampire, you'll find the armor diagrams in a chest accessed by blasting open a rock barrier with Aard.

Once you have the basic armor, you can upgrade it using additional diagrams located in various places. The enhanced version requires maps from Edwin Greloff's armorer in west Velen, the Hierarch Square armorer in Novigrad, and Éibhear Hattori after completing "Of Swords and Dumplings." The superior and mastercrafted versions require maps from the same sources as well.

If you're looking for the Griffin Silver Sword, it can be found in Hindhold watchtower in north Velen, directly east of the Border Post, where you'll need to battle endrega workers and warriors. The Griffin Silver Sword is also located in Lornruk lighthouse in west Velen, north of Heatherton, where you'll need to enter a cave underwater with drowners.
