Fully-Funded Undergraduate Scholarship in Portugal Closing in September 2026

The Portugal Government Scholarship is currently accepting applications from undergraduate students in need of financial assistance for their higher education. This need-based grant, administered by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES), provides eligible students with up to €15,000 per year to cover tuition and living expenses. Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by September 30, 2026.

The scholarship is available to undergraduate students studying at institutions such as the University of Porto. The grant amount awarded is dependent on each applicant's financial circumstances, household income, assets, study costs, and other factors. DGES distributes the grant as 10 monthly payments throughout the academic year and determines the scholarship amount on a case-by-case basis.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet academic requirements set by Portuguese authorities. Students must enroll in an eligible higher education program and register for at least 30 ECTS credits. Additionally, foreign students, including those from Pakistan, must meet specific residence or legal-status conditions to qualify for the grant.
