FIA nilai positif persediaan SIC, BMF puji petugas Malaysia

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has given a positive assessment of the preparations for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix (F1) at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC). BMF President Abdulaziz Al Thawadi expressed his admiration for the F1 race coordinator, Rui Marques, who met with the organizers on Monday as final preparations concluded for the race on October 2-4.

Al Thawadi expressed his delight with the preparations, noting that Malaysia had worked hard, having only 60 days to prepare. They tried their best despite the pressure, working tirelessly to provide everything and make their vision a reality. If one visits the track, 60 days ago it did not look like this, he added. Al Thawadi also praised the support received in Malaysia, highlighting how locals have greatly assisted during the race preparations.

The people here are very helpful, sending a smile and a wave. "The atmosphere in Sepang feels like Bahrain, even though both circuits were designed by German circuit engineer, Hermann Tilke," he said. The Sepang International Circuit and the Bahrain International Circuit were both designed by Tilke, who noted that walking around Sepang, one can see similarities to Bahrain, such as the layout and technical adjustments.
